My hammers wont open all the way!!!

That is correct. I use rscp in my 2 DTs and IO in my 30g QT. 2 3/4 cup makes a salinity of 1.025. Ive been talking to him via pm so he just mis spoke.

So if that is true, and my previous math was correct that 2.2 cups would be the equivalent for 4g, then 2.5 cups in 4g should mix somewhere in the ball park of ~1.028

Which means if your hydrometer was telling you that your water was 1.021 in the beginning of all this, and it is telling you that what you just mixed is 1.025 then in the beginning of this thread your sg was actually probably 1.024 ish

Yup @Triggreef I used less than 2 1/2 for 4 gallons and it mixed 1.025

You have to take in account his hydrometer is probably off and his salinity was pretty low to start with so it would be ok to add a high salinity mix to the tank.

All this probable math is fun, but you should really grab a refractometer or find someone local with one. So you know for sure. So how are the corals looking today?

@Triggreef My hammers are still sucked in. The other one has been fine. It's only the green tip and one of my purple tips that are sucked in and skinney. Im thinking it could be the kind of hammer.

Is that a wall or branching? I meant to ask before. I had a thing for orange hammers for a while. Until I lost 2 expensive ones for no apparent reason. I was still planning to look for another at the Frag Farmers Market coming.

@Triggreef I have 3 hammers. One of my purple tips and my green tip all of the sudden got skinny and sucked in. The other purple tip is fine. Its only two of them

Its wall. Ive lost one too. They are super sensitive to ANY kind of alk swing, big or small.

The SG being low before sounds logical to me. Might take them time to recover assuming water chemistry is better now.
