New in-wall 110 tank build

Trust me. I am not a woodworking wizard. Maybe a wizard with wood filler, caulk and selective photography but thanks anyways. By the way-I have been feeling the pressure of a good aquascape for months now-that's why its not done.

well ,from the pics your caulk and putty look flawless! I'm a cut twice and the piece is still too short kind of guy, so hats off to ya . With a tank that sexy, less is more , please no rock wall.....but hey its your tank

So no schedule 80 parts within an hours drive from me so I will be ordering them from BRS and have to wait [emoji30]. I was hoping to perform a water test today.

All my plumbing parts come from BRS and FlexPVC.com. No matter how much I plan, I continue to have to order something that I didn't know I would need, hopefully placed my last order last night

I received a message from Felix at Reef Savvy yesterday. He was following my build thread and notified me that I had plumbed my overflow bulkheads backwards. I'm impressed that
1. He noticed that from my pics
2. He took the initiative to let me know
3. He offered to send me 3 new bulkheads free of charge.

Since I had to order even more parts from BRS I went ahead and ordered the bulkheads as well. (I didn't think Felix should have to pay for my mistake). So now I am waiting until later this week to finish the plumbing. I will start getting some of the wiring figured out though.

That's awesome customer service! Very cool that he is checking your build. I was trying to figure out why the bulk heads were installed backwards, then I noticed the ones in the external box for the plumbing. It is those ones right, the three in the bottom?

Oh I see, had to go back and take a closer look. On the overflow box the bulkhead flanges are on the outside instead of the inside. Awesome of Felix to notice that and notify you before got any further. I think they are installed like that upon arrival for ease of shipping, although I have seen some builds with "other boxes" that were plumbed that way. Good looking out Felix!

I didn't notice that either. Excellent service by Felix. To me that shows that he really does care a great deal about his customers. Makes me feel even better about deciding to go with Reef Savvy.

Yeah-he said they are shipped like that for ease of shipping. I was wondering how one would tighten the nuts on the bulkheads inside the overflow box. Welp-question answered!

Well all my parts came in over the past couple of days. I managed to replace my bulkheads in the overflow and FINALLY saw some water!!!

I have been trying to get everything fine tuned. I did notice that my main siphon won't restart after the pumps shut off then restart. How does that work. Forgive my ignorance but this is my first experience with an overflow. 10 years of HOB equipment [emoji30]
