how do you run the bacteria driven tank? I was trying to do some more research but just can't find a lot of detailed info

@Aquaforest ..... Ordered the REEF 25k salt through Amazon. It arrived in a flimsy box all taped up. Inside the salt was in a single bag, torn and leaking salt. It was also damp and the loose salt was wet. Called Amazon and replacement is 1-3 months. So far this is a bad experience IMO. By both AF packaging and Amazon

I've read a few bad experiences with the shipping of salt. I've only heard of issues with the buckets and is a result of the shipper vs. AquaForest. A lot of the times these heavy items CAN be thrown around due to their size. One person I read the salt came in a regular bucket with a different bag, probably due to the shipper severely damaging the bucket. I would speculate and say you had a similar situation with your box, since its wrapped, tapped and damp.

Yes, but the packaging (box and internal bag) are very flimsy compared to other companies boxes such as Seachem and Reef Crystals also in 200g boxes. The bag inside the box had holes in it not caused by shipping as their location was not where the box was damaged. The other thing I am bothered by is the fact it can take 1-3 months to receive a new box. A box of salt does not last that long for a large tank, so then what?

This is one hole down in the corner.

Since all my buckets are in use I need to go get a couple more to see if I can try to salvage this salt. I gotta say I'm disappointed ATM at least with the lack of immediate availability What if a disaster struck and you can't get more salt quickly? I don't just have the 180g but also a 45g and 20L frag tank this would be in use with. 1-3 months is a long time. Some people don't have the cash flow to order double of everything especially when starting this program just because of lack of availability. Maybe I am being unreasonable but that is just how I feel about it. I wanted to try the Reef Salt first. If I have good results I then wanted to do the whole Probiotics System.

Weird, looking at the bag, but more importantly at the rubber band they used. All of the AF salt i've received have a very nice opaque type of cable tie. Definitely contact Deep Water and show them these photos.

Yup, I ordered one bucket of salt, three buckets later I have what I ordered. One came in a white bucket/green bag lol. DW said UPS must of re-bagged it!!

I order the 200g boxes (other brands)all the time... never had this issue. DW is in my neck of the woods so hopefully it'll arrive in tact. Amazon messed it up this time.

UPS is coming to pick up the box I have and DW is shipping me out the AF Probiotic salt tomorrow which it'll be here Thursday (Amazon is refunding). Couldn't get the Pro in 25k size though but at least DW is here in FL with 1 day shipping for my location.

I have had left my Bio Pro S out at room temp for couple of days by mistake didn't realize it.
Doesn't Say anything about refrigeration on the bottle or the box but in a little sheet tucked in the box it says "refrigerate after opening" you think it's ok?

As long as it didn't get warm it should be ok. Always read the little sheet in the box I have them all in a folder. :)

Thanks.. was cool to the touch the whole time .. But does it always stink??? I never smelled it before, kinda smells.. Hahaha

It's bacteria so it should smell. I always keep this kind of product in the fridge I have a shelf of bottles there.:)

I had same issue with my shipment of salt from Amazon , box was actually wet with spilt salt all in the box and the bucket was just pure garbage . Also the salt mixed up with very low magnesium around 1060 if I remember right had to dose it up and calcium was low also. Not to happy so far
