Ugly Sponges/stringy stuff in my tank

Can you tell me who makes "Fuel".

Aquavitro

Also, I had dose fenbenzole back in September for a digitate hydriod problem per @twilliard . My tank was fishless from the middle of August through the beginning of November. I am also using Red Sea's NOPX, daily or every other day at 12-15ml's. My system is around 250 gallons. I bet that's the problem, isn't it.

We medical people ask the same questions about 10 times...... I actually think I missed that whole section.

I really dont kno how to describe it and theres not alot of research on it other then some turbos and trochus snails eating it, it has that mating dino snotty Bacterial look to it but its almost like sponge type growth

In the photos i cant tell whats on the wall but the bottom pick on the rock is deffinitly chrysophytes im also having a wild bloom of pinapple sponges witch usually thrive during a long bacteria bloom nd then sometimes go away, i have that same algae/bacteria/ chrysophitsz or whatever it is growing on 2 small pieces of live rock next to my glass rite now and the snails are loving it nd not dying so i dont think its dino

I tried Fuel and it ended up in the garbage. had a cyno outbreak after adding it. I tried Acro POWER and its in the garbage.... again a cyno outbreak . I no longer use any magic potions only add the essential 3 via a doser that i took almost a month to tune to the right settings.

i tease.

When I first read it it seemed he was dosing daily bacteria and still feeding the tank although fallow. So kinda figured it was either the dosed bacteria getting super fed and forming into colonies(usually just clouds there though yea?) or odd sponges feeding off the bacteria.
Wow thats crazy, this is the 3rd time in 2 weeks ive seen this pop up, chrysophytes
It could be. Naturally occuring bacteria found in fresh and marine, likely a wild yeast.
And yea seems like 2 different strains if bactera.
Fuel is a superfood.
Seems like IMO keep scraping,Water changes, reduce feeding, med wet/dry skim and introduce a competing bacteria in a week or 2.
Quicker than than that we'll have to wait for DR T.
(i was hoping for funky sponges)

I would stop adding aquavitro fuel right now. Looks like you may have caused excessive bacterial algae growth. I always under dose what a manufacturer suggests due to this kind of issue. Once you stop dosing increase flow in the tank and it will go away fast. I have had this kind of thing go away in 24 hours.

I guess I was more after if it was a bacteria. Chemiclean may show this to be a bacteria.
Chemiclean is the only anti bacterial that I know of that is harmless to good bacteria.
That's a good point. It's a good product I just try not to use things if I can address things a different way. It's a good suggestion don't get me wrong, just my opinion.
