@revhtree Is there any info you've been able to get from @UWC? It's been 2 weeks since we were told they were going to be doing some testing, but haven't received word from anyone yet.

Also, I recall you were also using vibrant to battle GHA and lost a bunch of corals during treatment.

Are you okay, man? Did you wake up on the wrong side of the bed? As far as I can tell, he hasn't said anything in this thread.

Also, an update could be as simple as them telling him they're still waiting on results. You do you, though.

im always waking up on the wrong side of the bed I guess. I think its a bit of a loaded question when you ask the owner of a site - if he has information he hasn't posted. There are a lot of people waiting for the results from UWC. Its like asking Joe Biden a question like 'so what will you do if Russia invades Latvia'. In other words - If he hasn't answered/responded - thats your answer

We need better emojis. Reef2Reef definitely has the capability of adding this. It’s free and easy to do. The emojis we currently have are NOT tolerable anymore.

I'm sure if they don't have good results come back that dispute the findings made here then we won't hear back until they have spoken to a lawyer about how best to move forward. And if thats the case we may never hear back.

Tagging someone in a thread does not generate a special email or push alert, just so y'all know. All it does it add to the list of things in the little bell in the upper right corner ("Alerts"). They are/were planning more tests than discussed on Reef2Reef, such as bacterial grow out, but they told me on Wednesday morning (2 days ago) that they were just waiting on NMR, and expected to have those results that day or the next (Thursday).

Thanks, Randy! Hopefully we'll have our answer soon. Looks like I was just asking the wrong person. Pretty sure I would have received the same response from everyone had I asked you as well. Glad you were able to provide some more insight.

I have had experiences with vibrant only through new reefers I was giving guidance to against my recommendations. It usually resulted in the worst cases of dynos I have ever seen. How many have possibly left the hobby in what they thought was personal failure but now possibly be explained by a misleading product?

These are serious accusations with compelling evidence and UWC has past the deadline they were giving to members behind the scenes. There are now 2 members on the other thread that have verified test data.

I would love to give the benefit of the doubt to UWC that they could have a reasonable explanation or somehow rise above this and be honest but right now things are looking bad. IMO without a direct response to the test results in the other thread other than "we are investigating ourselves" would be an admission to guilt.

Then the next question would be what do we do as a community if they decide to never respond?

This is an excellent Youtube series, etc - I would hope that Rich might post here more often. The discussion of antibiotic resistance vis a vis using copra for anemones/coral was extremely interesting
