Where do you dump your dirty water change water?

To those that dump it in the yard, does your grass continue to grow? I ask as I did this a while back when I was in a rush (tank is by the front door) and a small Bush doesnt seem to be doing good. Wasnt sure if it was tied to this or not and were tearing the Bush out next year and planting something else in its place, but curious.
Mine still grows.I drain my water to the sump pump then outside

Hm, we have a sump that would then go into the marsh and woods in the backyard, which is brackish tidal water. Am eyeing that method. Or I could just dump it back there but egad who wants to carry buckets, I'm such a weakling. ha!

the driveway or the brick walkway, it helps kill the grass that otherwise grows there

I dump mine in the street, it drains to the storm drain that flows to the bay. If there’s any algae in it, I pull the clumps out and toss them in the trash so they don’t introduce invasive species.

I know it’s a bad idea but it’s so dang convenient, I have 4 tanks running in the basement, so I drain them into the sump pit. I do trigger the sump to run after I put salt water in it, but I’m sure I will pay for it in salt water corrosion on the sump motor in a few years, beats lugging the water upstairs though. I have a septic system as well, so no chance of me putting the water down the drain anyways. The sump discharges far away from the house and eventually runs into a creek.

Do you have a water softener? If so, it already dumps high salinity water into your sump basin so no worries. That is what I did when I performed water changes.

I pump it into two brute trashcans, in the back of my truck. Then drive it up to the gravel road and dump it to keep down the dust.

I have an outdoor pond I don't use due to the amount/type of wildlife I have in the area as they eat koi/goldfish. So I dump it in the pond. See the deer drinking from it often as it contains salt which they use for electrolytes

Toilet or bathtub usually.

Python to sink. Can't believe I used to carry buckets to the toilet smh lol...

I dump mine in the front yard, usually 5 gallons at a time. Sometimes it kills the grass, sometimes not depending on the season. I'm usually siphoning out small bits of sand, snail shells, etc when I clean so I don't want any of that going in a sink, toilet and septic system. Back when I was younger I would wash gravel in our kitchen sink. Once we took it apart since it was backing up....solid with gravel and a few straws.
