Jebao powerheads

Which ones are considered the newest and most upgraded?

I am looking to get a couple for my new frag tank.

Only bother with the biggest ones. The smaller ones are too weak to power through coralline and algae build up, and they break down. The big ones last because they have a lot of torque.

Otherwise. Tunze beats the hell out of everything

I have jeboa powerhead and return pump and never had a problem with the power supply

I'd upgrade your home owners insurance. lol

The slw-20 is the newest. And the slw-20m will be coming out soon which has a wifi phone app to control it. I have 2 of the slw-20 powerheads in my tank now, they are the clean circular ones in my pics above. Dead silent and move a ton of water. Similar to the reefbreeders rpm/ coralbox rn-1 lines

Ah, thats a rip off of the nero it looks like. Looks like a new/different line than the RW series. They also make a gyre style.

I have 2 of the gyres. The cp-40 on my 180 gal display for 1.5 years. Cleaned them 3 times in that timeframe. The pics i posted, showed them. I had to put them on a hydor wave maker to switch them on and off so only one runs at a time otherwise i was having whirlpools pulling air to the sandbed in the middle of my tank.

I have the maxspect gyre and wish I had waited and go the Jeabo gyre, the maxspect isn't any more reliable imo for how much it costs. Had to replace parts on it and the magnet seal must have failed as it swelled up. My vortechs have been running since 2012 so can't complain about them at least.

George it's not worth arguing over. Iagree with you and have tons of jebao equipment and nothing has broken in the 2 or 3 years I have had it. Snails regularly get stuck n the powerheads overnight and they still work perfectly. I work at a fish shop and from what I have seen its the Ecotech wavemakers that break the most.

I can wholeheartedly agree with you my ecotech was only worthy of the rubbish bin all my Jecod equipment has by and far outlasted my sole ecotech. I'll never purchase anything by ecotech again neither will I recommend them.

Good thing I plan on consolidating all my power bricks into one
I have done that what a difference it makes I bought some 12v/24v switches and some 5.5mm sockets to match the plugs on my pumps ect and made my own panel where I plug all my stuff into. There is 2 24v transformers and 1 at 12v transformer behind the panel and it all cost less than £50.

Please do a write up on this!

Yes it is, i couldnt tell from the packaging picture, the blue blades looked like the one i posted. Do you have a release date?
They are available at fish street now

I have 2 jaebo ow 25's and 2 tunze 6095's in my new 120 build. We will see how long they last vs the tunze. Plenty of flow from them vs the tunze. Time will tell as they have only been up and running 3 weeks on the new tank.

I have lost 2 out of 3 after cleaning the pump in vinegar. Put them back in the reef and they died shortly after. I noticed the cords look as if the vinegar started to eat them (lost their shine). The third I have never put motor in vinegar just brush it out now and then it has lasted 2+years. In addition I did the airline house mod. That also helped them from shutting down when calcium built up on the shaft.

I have a few of their pumps in service, a couple OW 25’s that are about a year old and I have a rw4 that has been running nonstop 24x7 for almost four years and has never been cleaned! I have less than $150 in all three pumps =)

So I got a second SOW-15 a couple weeks ago, took about one minute to have it slave with my first one. Doing great so far, easy to use. Both are on the lowest setting for my 100 gallon and still push a ton of water.

I’m very curious about these. I always think you should be able to swivel them. But, those EcoTechs don’t move and are always rated #1. No reviews yet anywhere I can find. But I’m close to pulling the trigger on these.
