2 and 3/4 divided by 5 times 4. Whatever that is.I can mix 4 gallons at a time so how much salt would I need for that?
I would try googling it just to see. They have to have the info available. This is most likely not your problem but still good to know.@Triggreef I use the store brand water of whatever store has it at the time
Well that's going by the above equation and the 2.75 cups for 5g @1.025 that someone else listed, assuming they are giving correct information. So I would mix that up and see what your hydrometer says your at. It's certainly not accurate but it's better than nothing.Thank you @Triggreef so what salinity will 2.2 cups make for four gallons?
So @Triggreef if its just my pH and alk thats off along with the salinity will it be an easy fix?
Oh yeah. Your cooking with crisco now. All you need is to get your other parameters checked. Side note, if you used almost 2 1/2 cups for four gallons you hydrometer is a good bit off.@joshkirkland83 @cameronh @Triggreef I think I have some good news. Do these results look better? Here are the test results from my latest test:
pH: 8.0 - 8.2
Ammonia: 0
Nitrite: 0
Nitrate: 5.0 - 10
Impossible. I dont even think that would register. Def wouldnt bring ph up.I believe he said a total of 2 1/2 cups total between two separate 4 gallon buckets. grin
