really strange, my po4 reached 0, is that i have more consistent KH? or as i said added more fish, it helped the No3 to raise and help the Po4 went down?

or its just the normal process and my po4 dropped as the normal process?

I would say that your system is balancing out.

I just wanted to be sure if that increase reading is not due to an error and a steady effect. Now I dont exactly understand why your SPS died after dosing but browning can be due to several reasons. I hope you understand .02-.04ppm PO4 is not high and is good for the system. I personally favor feeding more to bring up the NO3 due to the fact it gives the coral complete nutrition instead of chemicals. Corals have polyps for feeding naturally so they should be supplied with food not chemicals. They can very efficiently use that and grow. But we due to aesthetic pleasure feed them less and try to maintain their need with chemicals. Example, I have a TCK Pikachu which generally stays greenish yellow so I thought I will make it yellow and started lowering my NO3. My nitrate generally stays at 2-4ppm maximum. Now as soon as the nitrate touch 0ppm I saw a great yellow colour but when I looked at other corals they were simply not happy. So , I slowly came back to the my starting 2-4ppm range. I achieve the increase in nitrate by feeding more not by chemical. I know it will help me to achieve the level faster with chemical dosing but its like temporary fix not a long term. If you want to increase nitrate simply increase feeding and then put a little more GFO in your reactor. The GFO will take care of excess PO4 and the extra nitrate you will see in test. But in this way there will be no damage to your reef or SPS.

I'll try the feeding round. I had turned off the skimmer before whenever I'm feeding but that didn't really raise my NO3 level so I went the dosing route. I'm still uncertain about the browning and dead SPS, that was the only thing I could think off, I guess I was adding an DIY algea scrubber as well (PVC fitting without gluing them together.) Thanks again.
 
@jsker , @Anirban yesteday i just started to dose Ca to see if i can raise it to 450. next report will be in wednesday hehehhhe :D

No Water Change until now, and also not dosing anything besides the Kh solution as i mentioned. Not yet changed the Po4 remover as well..
 
Very good news indeed, however it is very important to remember that numbers can sometimes lead you falsely, balance, diversity, and stability are what these animals need to thrive! Good news though :)

One more updated (not sunday but today)... One guy that is helping with bailling request to me to stop dosing bailling until today to check my consumption, so follow my parameters:

Ca:400 (tank with few frags seems that is getting a lot of Ca)
PO4: 0.04 and 0.00 (paramaters seems ok, but why never keeps at just one value?)
mg: 1260 (its a relation with the how much Ca dropped?)
kh: 6.3 ( huge drop )
ph: 8.15 (seems good if you look the other parameters changes)

So today i returning my bailling dosage to establish again the tank and put the consumption rate on track to keep everything stable :D....

Other question @jsker and @Anirban , seems that i'm not doing/dosing anything is helping the tank estabish, but why? the products should help the tank into this process?

ABVE products should arrive in this or next week, maybe should i start to dose to try to improve color into my 3 sps frags?

Everything that is done today has at a least a two week delay. Consistency and patience is key. Do not start and stop. Make adjustment
 
First the change in PO4 value is due to human or technical error and it generally happens to everyone.
Second, you need to understand that every time you are changing something or stopping something you are interrupting the tanks natural process and putting it under shock. More of these shocks you give more time your tank will take to get stabilise or show positive effects of your dosing. You have to stick to a single regime and follow it for few months then you will see your tank flourish. So don't change things too often or else it will take forever to see any effects.
 
@jsker and @Anirban thanks a lot for the inputs. Understood the points, but WC is not a important thing to replace at least a trace elements? or as the name of this process, is a change, is better to wait the time to tank get stable to perform any other change?

regarding the changes in bailling it was to understand the tank consumption, but the doser is now working to put everything into the normal way.
 
If you are not running the balling method, yes water changes are important to replace trace elements. Also dosing Ca, Mg, Alk.

Yes, make a change wait a week or two. This give the system time to adjust, one my see a change in one or two day, but those changes need be absorb by the system.

I have been dosing 1+2+3+ and still making adjustments after 9 months. Yesterday I discovered my alk has jumped. The reason; the weather is cooler and the air is drier. My PH has jumped and so has my alk. it all a learn process. I am also going to switch my dosing to 6 am 12pm 6pm 12am instead of 8am and 8 pm to even out the dose more:)
 
I figured I would tag along instead of making a new thread since I think I am encountering similar things. My tank is about 2 months old, slowly transitioning to the reef salt from instant ocean and have about 8 different LPS corals going in the tank at the moment.
Measurements:
SG -1.026
Ph 8.2-8.35 in a 24 hour period
Ca - 480
Alk - 8.3-8.6
Mg ~1400
No3 - >1, <5 (API, all other kits are Salifert)
Po4 .1-.15
Temp 78.6F
40br with a 20h sump

I've been dosing NP Pro and Pro Bio S, 2 drops each, every day for about a month which has kept NO3 in check. Tank has a protein skimmer, small refugium, and just began GAC in a reactor (4tbsp). So far the tank seems happy, have the green calciferous algae which as I understand it is a precursor to coralline, some film algae on the glass that I clean every other day (suspect my Po4 is causing it). Stocking is a royal gramma, ocellaris pair, 4 astrea snails, a cleaner shrimp, and a conch. Currently rocking a bicolor hammer, green/gold hammer, purple/green hammer, two frogspawn frags, aussie torch and two regular torches, and a zoa frag. My question is when would it be appropriate to start adding phosphate minus to the reactor to help the Pro Bio S, and when should I start to add the other elements like Build, Energy, etc.? I am planning on sticking to LPS for the most part and maybe an SPS or two in the future, just want to better understand the timing of the Aquaforest program. Thank you!

New to the aquaforest products. Just recently switched over to the reef salt. Have a 210 gallon tank sps tank with a few acans, blastos and lobos. Want to know can I just use the B, E and V and dose accordingly or do I need to start with the components 1,2,3? Water parameters are listed below. I'm dosing with fauna Marin balling salts...alkalinity, calcium and magesnium.

Phosphate 0
Nitrate 0
Salinity 1.026

You can dose ABEV but dont dose component 123 unless you need them.
